DAC 2026 runs in two editions at Kigali Christian School, Rwanda: the Beginner Camp from 9 – 19 August 2026, and the Advanced Camp from 23 August – 2 September 2026. Each edition is a 10-day residential experience, so plan to be fully on-site for the duration of your chosen camp.
The Beginner Camp (9 – 19 August 2026) is designed for students new to debate, public speaking, or leadership training , no prior experience needed.
The Advanced Camp (23 August – 2 September 2026) is for participants who've attended DAC before or have a strong foundation, and want to sharpen their skills through tougher competition and deeper leadership challenges.
DAC welcomes students from across Africa and beyond, typically between ages 14 and 19. We look for curious, motivated young people who want to grow as leaders, communicators, and changemakers regardless of background or school type. Your passion and perspective matter more than your CV.
Four things: how to debate, how to speak, how to lead, and how to think for yourself. Expect intensive training in argumentation, public speaking, and leadership through real-world challenges plus the softer stuff that matters just as much: confidence, resilience, and a continent-wide network of peers and mentors who'll stay with you for life.
